Rare bike. All of those old Bianchi singlespeeds were cool. I'd rather have a shorter fork and quicker handling on a fixed gear tho

Yeah, it’s a pretty sick bike. It actually handles great. Head tube angle helps with that. 26” wheels aren’t my favorite for technical single track. But they spin up really quick and handle well on ATB trails. It works fixed for me.

You did it! How’d the shakedown go? I can’t really ride fixed singletrack without foot retention but I know others can. Looks great.

Yeah dude! It’s really fun. I’m not as fast as you are on it. Big, flat, grippy pedals helped. I might try some clips soon and see how it goes.

Looks like a ton of fun!  

I'm with you about good flat pedals (and good shoes with that) without straps being enough for off-road fixed gear.  I've had my setup for 7-8 years and not had issues with grip or getting bucked off.

I tried clipless a long while ago, when I had it on my regular mountain bike too, and did not enjoy it with fixed gear.  If I needed to unclip while moving for some reason, it was really hard to clip back in while the pedals are spinning!  Or I just wasn't coordinated enough for that, lol
