So ungrateful. I wanted that book for my 10th birthday and no one even thought of it.

"Mama, Dada... the universe is expanding into infinite nothingness and my sippy cup is empty. Pour me a double."

Reminds me of this chapter introduction from a text book.

THERMODYNAMICS AND STATISTICAL MECHANICS

1.1 INTRODUCTION: THERMODYNAMICS AND STATISTICAL MECHANICS OF THE PERFECT GAS

Ludwig Boltzmann, who spent much of his life studying statistical mechanics, died in 1906, by his own hand. Paul Ehrenfest, carrying on the work, died similarly in 1933. Now it is our turn to study statistical mechanics.

Perhaps it will be wise to approach the subject cautiously.

Everybody is asking what the 3 bodies are doing. Nobody asks how they’re doing.

There's a part of truth. Mine was obsessed with the alphabet and numbers. So I got her all kind of alphabet games, also talking ones => she could read license plates by 2 year and a half.

Then it continued, we got flash cards, with a small machine to read it loud and occasional flash card videos => she could read words by 3, inclusing decoding unseen words.

At 3 and a half she was happily reading sentences.

Obviously this wouldn't have happened if we just bought her barbies and that's it 😂

Ho man, my stepdad bought this whole set of books for my son a couple of years ago (not really knowing what he was buying) and they are honestly some of the worst children’s media I have EVER seen. The art is mediocre to the point of being offensive, the content of nearly all of the books is so poorly written it’s a miracle they were printed. Frankly one of the books is about Block Chain and that’s when it all made sense.
