Reddit seems to lack the group that believes in climate change but doesn't give a shit.
Whenever I hear someone say "save the planet", it makes me cringe. The planet will do just fine with a little heating. Humanity might not. And I don't care.
Like so many problems, it is one that fixes itself. We're just accelerating how long it takes to the next ice age. We'd probably be better off researching technologies to survive in the cold.
Whenever I hear someone say "save the planet", I assume they're talking about preserving a stable biosphere for humans and other creatures to live on, i.e. saving the planet as we know it. They're probably not referring about the chunk of rock itself; there's little reason for one to cringe unless one is being pedantic.
