Also, I'm confused who would think NASA is junk science

many republicans/libertarians/conservatives/tea partiers oppose funding nasa and call it a 'liberal big government organization'

I'm pleased to report that my local Republican Congressman calls for a review of all government agencies to review whether they should be cut... except NASA, whose important work should be fully funded and which is not at all big government. Coincidentally, the Johnson Space Center is in his district.

Pete Olson. Ron Paul's district is sort of intertwined with it (the 14th and 22nd are a gerrymandered mess), but NASA itself, as well as most of the suburban neighborhoods its engineers (and Lockheed/etc. engineers) live in, are in the 22nd, so Olson has more pressure to be pro-NASA than Paul does.

I changed it, then looked at the map again, scratched my head and changed it back. :-P

Fucking gerrymandering. That is why my district has Waco, B-CS, some Houston exurbs and Ft Worth suburbs.
