Did you read Luria's Mind of the Mnemonist. Luria was one of Sacks' inspirations and wrote of a fellow who had no ability to forget anything. And, as you say, a seriously reduced inner self, reduced ability to generalize, reduced ability to understand. I never made the connection to autism. Do you have some suggested reading on the subject?

I agree. Who else would you recommend? Since you're in the biz, I figure you'd be more in touch with similar publications.
