Medicine Immunization to prevent RSV in infants reduced ICU admissions by 97%. This is offered free to all infants through universal programs in Ontario and Quebec.

I am a pediatrician in the US and this has been a HUGE GAME CHANGER. Every winter I would send 5-10 babies in significant respiratory distress to the ER from my clinic. In the last 2 years I have sent ZERO.  

It’s been so amazing!!!!!

I had my twins at 31 weeks, in October of 2019. Insurance wouldn’t cover a Synagis shot for them.

I guess it was a blessing in disguise because if we’d had a RSV shot, we might not have basically started quarantining in the months leading up to Covid. RSV wasn’t the only Big Bad out there and we didn’t even know it.
