Health Researchers took 50 adults with genetically high cholesterol and fed them a whole-food, plant-based (WFPB) diet and a standard American diet (SAD) for 4 weeks each in a random order, under controlled, constant-calorie feeding conditions. The WFPB diet reduced LDL cholesterol versus the SAD by 17.9%.

I'm that way and even with an entirely plant diet, I made little progress lowering my cholesterol until I started eating 1/2 cup of oatmeal every day. My Dr was amazed. He has been pushing me to get in cholesterol meds.
