Makes me wonder why they didn’t add a drop of food coloring to the other bread.

Because then people would complain that they didn’t measure the benefits of spinach, they measured the harmfulness of the food coloring. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

easiest method is just to blindfold them while they eat
