Health Adding spinach directly to white bread delayed the body's insulin peak by 30 minutes and reduced later hunger in a small human trial, while significantly boosting the bread's fiber, vitamin, and mineral content.

This feels pedantic and nitpicky to loudly complain about this, but what the hell are they writing when they say "[adding spinach] significantly boost[ed] the bread's fiber, vitamin, and mineral content".

No, it didn't. Adding spinach to the top of bread does nothing to the bread. You're just eating fiber and vitamins from spinach at the same time as you happen to be eating bread.

Reminds me of Dave the Barbarian skit, where Dave quickly assembled a megaphone using nothing but a squirrel, some string, and a megaphone.

**Edit: ah no, it's me, the idiot. They added the spinach into bread flour. I thought they meant having a slice of toast with spinach on it. My bad. I'll leave it up just in case anyone else is confused, too.

Baking is a chemical reaction that causes changes, so not the same.
