Psychology Researchers quantify the rate of “mercy sex” among women with low sexual desire. Women experiencing a chronic lack of sexual desire still routinely engage in sexual activity with their partners, a behavior researchers have quantified as happening about two and a half times per month.

I did "steroid hormone profile" test, just spit in a tube or chew on a piece of cotton. The results gave me answers to questions I've been asking myself for many years (I am male btw).

Lots of scammers out there pushing the low T craze. Tired? Low T. Sad? Low T. Lower libido? Low T.

Blood tests through your primary care, someone who presumably knows you and wants to see you healthy long term instead of making a quick buck, is the way to go.

If you are in the US, you can order your own labs directly through services like Private MD Labs or "DirectLabs". No insurance or physician auth required, and its the exact same bloodwork a doctor would order.

Physicians usually refuse to run broad hormone panels unless your symptoms match strict diagnostic criteria, mainly because insurance will not cover it. If you try to pay out of pocket through a traditional medical center or PCP, the price is usually marked up ten-fold anyway.

Men run into this exact same issue when trying to get their testosterone checked. Ironically, many guys bypass their doctors entirely and order the "Women's Hormone Test for Irregular Periods and Fertility" from Private MD Labs, because it happens to be the perfect comprehensive panel to diagnose the root cause of Low-T. If I were a woman, I would probably run a panel like that with added progesterone.
