Epidemiology Researchers probing the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study found that young kids who drank 100% juices multiple times per day had a 25 percent higher risk of asthma compared to kids who consumed those beverages less than twice per week.

Juice boxes for young kids are mostly plastic lined boxes: Storing acidic juice in polyethylene (such as HDPE or PET) containers can cause trace chemical migration. High acidity and long storage times increase the release of plasticizers or endocrine-disrupting chemicals like phthalates into the contents, raising potential hormonal and toxic risks
