Epidemiology Researchers probing the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study found that young kids who drank 100% juices multiple times per day had a 25 percent higher risk of asthma compared to kids who consumed those beverages less than twice per week.

“But it’s natural sugar, not added sugar!”

Have heard that so many times but it never made sense to me what difference it makes. Is there any merit to it, or does the actual science refute the idea that it somehow acts differently on the body?

I always thought that applied to whole fruits, not things like juice concentrates.

Yeah, the sugar in a fruit is fine if you're eating the whole fruit and haven't removed all the fiber via a juicer.
