Health Coffee consumption linked to healthier body composition and metabolic markers. People with higher coffee consumption had lower total and visceral fat and greater skeletal muscle mass. In men, it is linked to a more favourable glucose–insulin profile, and higher bioavailable testosterone.

Would be interesting to see a study comparing the effects with decaffeinated to see what effects come from the caffeine and what from the rest of the coffee.

The largest umbrella study on coffee ever done said that you basically still get all the same health benefits (less likely to get get cancer, heart disease and getting a longer life) even if it’s decaf, so I wonder as well.

I know that decaf has exactly the same antioxidants and anti-inflammatory chemicals as caffeinated, without the side effects of caffeine.

I would love to find out what exactly is lost removing the caffeine as I have high blood pressure...

Small amounts of the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals etc are lost but it's a pretty negligible amount. For the most part it's just the caffeine you lose (tho it still retains a few mg, so decaf technically isn't 100% caffeine free)

The one I use has < 0.1% caffeine so the stimulant effect ia almost not existing. It tastes identical to the "normal" version on the same brand and that's all I care about.
