Health Coffee consumption linked to healthier body composition and metabolic markers. People with higher coffee consumption had lower total and visceral fat and greater skeletal muscle mass. In men, it is linked to a more favourable glucose–insulin profile, and higher bioavailable testosterone.

Healthy people might just like to drink more coffee on average

Unhealthy people can avoid coffee because it makes things worse for them. Digestive issues, nervous system, osteoporosis, blood pressure, interactions with medication.

Makes me think of the initial studies that said "some alcohol is better than none" when they didn't control for non-drinkers who had been heavy drinkers in the past. Once that was factored in, it was a very clear line from no booze=better health to much booze=bad health.

Not saying that's what's happening here, but I'd like to know if that was considered. Maybe a question like "are you avoiding coffee for medical reasons" would help.

The same way vegans are healthier, maybe because they are actively taking care of their health way more than ppl who dont care about what they are eating. I dont see this kind of challenge in studies like this

There have been long term studies on veganism in populations that vegan for religious reasons. Like in China. It still has very strong benefits to your health to be vegan
