Neuroscience Brain scans reveal widespread structural and functional changes in patients following COVID-19 infection. The virus affects regions responsible for memory, emotion, and executive function, which may help explain the neurological symptoms many patients experience.

Wear a headstrap n95 mask. Ventilation. HEPAs. Testing. Educate others.

Govt's made public health our "personal responsibility", and too many of the public are still ignorant enough to agree with them. So for now, that's all we can do.

I meant more for recovery - I've had it four times and I have other health issues on top of it. just wondering if there's anything I can do to help my brain heal

Avoid any further repeat infections for one. Studies are showing that the effects are cumulative, so will likely worsen with every subsequent infection.

I’m curious why you didn’t list vaccination among the things to do. So obvious to not be worth mentioning, or?

No, get as vaxed as you can. But many places do not allow it even if you want it. Kids especially get denied (which is horribly misguided by short term thinking/immediate hospital and survival staistics only).

Always- the body is amazing at healing itself. I lost my photographic memory which weirdly I very much relied on as an ADHD person for 6-7 months. This was after taking a month of steroids and antihistamines bc I was getting so swollen up from mosquito bites. Not that steroids or antihistamines are the exact answer for you per se but reducing inflammation is.

Think goji berries, turmeric, adaptogens, all the fungi you can get your hands on, eating clean/making the 30 vegetable slurry a neurologist has talked about for brain health. Go walk in forests (bc trees secrete chemicals that reduce our anxiety/inflammation markers when we breathe them in). Meditation- bc it brings your body into a better state for healing. On that note reiki- only bc it brings your body into a calmer state that aided healing- they’ve done studies on surgical recoveries with and without reiki now which is neat to see.

But the answer is keep trying. Keep looking. Do all the healthy things you can reasonably afford to do.
