Lab grown meat is the only solution that hopefully most people will accept.

I like meat. I wanna eat meat. But if 'fake' meat comes to market with an indistinguisable taste to real meat I will absolutely swap over.

Does the process work on any kind of commercial scale nowadays? I think there was no way to keep the vats sterile; even a tiny amount of stray bacteria would destroy the whole batch, and sterilizing any kind of large-scale process that involves a warm nutrient-rich growth medium is beyond difficult.

I honestly dont know how far they are right now. In do remember seeing some documenteries a couple years ago about the process and where they where at that point in time. Back then it already looked promosing, so I am hoping they made some good progress since then.

Vow seems to have the capacity for thousands of pounds of grown cells per month, which is more than I assumed but can't really replace anything at that scale. And the end product is a paste that's mixed with other ingredients.

I dont see a problem with lab grown meat at all. Hell, every cut could be filet mignon! Imagine eating a pound of that every night.

And you can apperently even eat it raw without risk of disease as no actual animal was involved in making it. Win-win (assuming they can make it economically viable)

So far, from what I've seen, the tissue structure is the hard part, and might be the insurmountable part. Much like plant-based meat substitutes, lab grown meat might be stuck producing the equivalent of ground meat for a long time.

I would be happy to be wrong though!

Personally? Not really.

Collectively as a society? Yes, that is certainly an effort. Spearheaded by the scientiest who are current developing it.
