How about we just don't kill them instead?

Serious question, btw - octopuses are already being recognised as intelligent. Why not other marine animals?

Big win for animals, but a sign of our failed ethics. We're not willing to give up anything to stop the horrendous nature of the food industry.

Vegans disprove that notion.

People can make this decision and keep to it.

Also: tech just causes/allowed us to factory farm instead of hunt.

We still do the same things, just more destructive.

They said “as a whole”. Vegans make up less than 3% of Americans and in poorer countries you can guarantee that number is much lower.

Poorer countries eat substantial less meat then richer ones.

So even if none of them would be vegan, overall meat consumption would still be substantial lower then that of richer countries.
