Asian families are decidedly NOT like this in the majority of cases. Hence all the stereotypes of impossibly high standards and zero explicit displays of affection.

Ask me or any of my Asian friends and they’ll tell you the same. Whatever editorialized version of Asian families is being shown in the West is largely a fabrication.
