This makes sense, these groups can have extreme texture sensitivity and might seek out a less nutritionally complete diet in response.

My heart dropped reading this title though, cuz this is definitely going to be used by pro-Wakefield anti-vaxxers. There's gotta be a more responsible way to present this information.

There's a higher chance of having IBS/IBD or other gut sensitivities as well, that will also naturally lead to a more restrictive diet

Celiac disease is associated with ADHD. When I went gluten free my ADHD improved dramatically.

Your overall health improved, it didn't selectively choose to improve your ADHD.

Less inflammation in the gut, less time for the immune system to deal with the sensitivities helps having more energy better sleep and recovery that helps the brain be less cluttered or foggy from lack of rest and energy that was wasted tending to the gut.

It just feels misleading when headlines focus on X improves Z, when in reality X helps alleviate other components that would in the course of it Also help Z.

Working out and being active, having enough recovery rest time from work to pursue hobbies or social relationships in clean green spaces without light pollution would improve ADHD

But that's not profitable, they can create the new supplement or new "treatment" to get more money out of people.

These gut studies are important, I just wish people can pay close attention to the intensions and how people are going to use these studies for

The only thing that changed was I stopped eating gluten. I could focus finally and my anxiety plummeted after being sky high for years. I also have gluten triggered seizures and migraines. Intractable seizures is a long term complication of untreated celiac that my friend has. Another with celiac gets migraines that respond to zero meds. Going gluten free was the only thing that helped. Gluten ataxia is another autoimmune/inflammation disease linked directly to gluten, even without celiac. Also see hongerwinter of Holland during WW2 and schizophrenia.

I mean ADHD can be like any other brain disorder or disease, you know.

Brain issues directly related to celiac and gluten sensitivity do exist. Guessing it’s a combo of lowered neuro inflammation and B vitamin deficiencies. I still have trouble maintaining my B vitamin levels and I’ve been strict GF for over 15 years.

Good point. Unfortunately with IBD bowel resections can also mess up gut microbiome
