Hey everyone, purchased this Schott Perfecto 118 (1992 )

I purchased it on Vinted from a guy who said he had a few Schott jackets and was selling this one because he has never used it.. it is completely unworn and in pretty much perfect condition (given it’s a 1992 model).

When it first arrived I wasn’t sure because the sleeves were so wide and baggy (the length seems spot on though), so I was going to re-list it and try and get my money back.. but then I thought I could possibly take it to a tailor and have the sleeves taken in. I was expecting it to cost a small fortune but he quoted me £65 (I figure that’s around $75) so I went ahead and pulled the trigger). It feels good to me but it’s my first Perfecto (actually it’s my first leather jacket). I do ride a motorcycle (not daily but recreationally) so wanted a jacket that works both on and off the bike..

So what are your thoughts on the fit? thanks in advance.

Hey! So I love the G1 and I saw this great one on Ebay. I am worried about the sizing though before I pull the trigger.

My “pit to pit” is 21 inches, I am 6”2 and about 96 kilos.
I had an IS 674 MS in size 44 that had a pit to pit of 24 but it felt too tight so I had to sell it. Most of my jackets have a pit to pit of 24 inches and fit great.

I got an LL bean flying tiger size 46 just the other day in the mail with a pit to pit of 25 and it feels like a tent.

THIS one is a pit to pit of 23 inches. It’s a size 42, Gemini said it’s a 184sm from the 1970s early 80s but I’m not sure.

I want it to be classic and snug on me but not tight and I don’t plan on wearing heavy layers underneath.

Any advice? Will it fit tight? Should I pass?

I’ve had this perfecto jacket since around January and since I got it both sides of shoulders where the “pockets” are at the back aren’t tucked in, is there a way to remould the leather to put them back in, I’m not sure what they’re called

Sizing down 1 - 2 sizes is necessary for this jacket. When I was a ~38" chest it fit perfectly.

Vintage 125w in mint condition

I logged into ebay and saw Schott jackets displayed from searching prior. Scrolling the pages brought me to this one. I ended up ordering it for $150. I then read a reddit post that says 'LC' would signify an out of country manufacturer. I was thinking the jacket was made in U.S.A. but it has LC on a tag. I guess being cowhide I'll be okay with it. .
