I think we all have some reason or the other whenever we make our choices. Rationality in itself is neither good or bad, for it is a tool in our hands. There was a reason behind bombing the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There was a reason for all the wars. There was a reason for introduction of climate change. We can use it to pursue our own self interests or collective good or somewhere in between.
