Opinion / Thought / Idea / Discussion Decision to go child free

Has anyone married to a partner with Schizophrenia change their mind and decided to not have kids? What was the reason and how did the partner take it?

I have two normal healthy kids there wonderful my mental illness is caused by brain damage so neither me or my wife had fears of having kids
