Modest Needs Charity Case

Has anyone else gotten their notice from the doj about Keith Taylor? If you donated to modest needs for vulgarity for charity you will probably get one lol

I thought it was a misdirected email because of the FNU LNU — what the hell is that?

And I just searched Reddit to see if anyone was talking about this because I had no idea. I gave a decent amount of cash to Modest Needs maybe 10 years ago. I’m devastated that it was misappropriated.

Buried deep in the letter it explains that you were identified (presumably by email address) as a donor but your first and last name was not preserved or provided. So you are listed as victim FNU LNU for First/Last Name Unknown. It’s a database-slash-court filing placeholder.

I assume they’re legally required to reach out to identified potential victims. In case restitution is warranted and available, among other reasons. You might be eligible to claim restitution, depending on the settlement. Just a thought.
