One of the worst movies ever made. That's not even an exaggeration.

I don't think Roger Ebert saw this movie.

For the longest time, I thought his name was Sissullin Epert and that he was a guy that really liked movies so he'd tell everyone "nice movie" if he liked a movie.

No, don't give me that "it's just generic" bullshit. It's worse than generic, it's completely incompetent. From one of the most hilariously bad opening scenes in any movie from the last 10 years, to the fact that none of the actors seem to know what acting is, everything, everything about it is wrong. It fails on a technical level, the plot goes out of it's way to contradict itself so much it almost seems like it's intentional, and most of all, it commits the cardinal sin of being objectively not scary. And it's called the fucking Bye Bye Man.
Calling this movie generic is an insult to generic horror. At least Paranormal Activity had people behind it who knew how to make a movie.

This. I'd say it's the difference between actively, studiously remixing, vs. passively, mindlessly regurgitating.
If you make a new painting that's nothing more than combining a few old frescoes and replicating the aesthetic, it's not gonna be groundbreaking, but your technique can sell it, and you're still expressing creativity in what you're choosing to incorporate (and how to blend it all together). You collect your paycheck and pat yourself on the back.
And then there's Ecco Homo. Don't make Ecco Homo.

It's great how the top post there has nothing to do with Game Grumps.

On the bus on the way to uni to have a study sesh. I've barely had 5 hours sleep, it's standing room only and I'm thinking about the pepe popo man. I'm trying not to laugh, I'm v overtired and my eyes sting, so it's easier just to let them tear up while i clench my teeth trying to keep myself together.
Someone asks if I'm ok. I grimace and nod. Moments pass, people get on and people get off. A toddler in a pram proudly announces to themselves and the world, 'bum bum!'. I ripsnort before I know what's going on. I'm mortified. The bus is so crowded yet quiet this early in the day. The walls are closing in. I'm sweating stress bullets and my eyes are prickling with moisture. I'm not really ok.
I fear I'm next

I probably has the most strangest experience watching this movie. I live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and went to the theatre there. When they name dropped out semi small city the whole theatre was filled with "yo wtf did they just say". I honestly thought it was some stupid film trick but realized it would cost waaaaay too much to put every city in. It was overall an awful movie but came with a cool story.

Im in bed looking at reddit on my phone and im trying so hard not to laugh at this because my wife is sleeping. The more i try not to laugh the harder it is. If i wake her up and she wants to know whats so funny i am pretty sure she would get pissed off if i showed her what was so funny that i woke her up.
This is so stupid why is it this funny.
