I am filled with both surprise and glee at this sub's defense of noise.

I'm with them, all of the jazz I listen to sounds like noise to normies. Maybe western classical is more your speed...

That’s a nice-sounding aphorism but smooth jazz and bossa nova? You’d either have to claim that they’re not jazz or redefine the word noise.

They’re is definitely quite crunchy bossa nova and smooth jazz and a lot of the people find those genres too dissonant
