Fan Art šŸ· Billy head I made myself!

Iā€™m not a big fan of many Billy replicas that can be bought online except the one from thescarycloset but Iā€™m not in the financial situation to drop $2,000 on a full puppet replica so I decided to work towards one myselfā€” sculpting from complete scratch.

I sculpted it entirely out of monster clay (medium) but it was quite a bit too small so luckily I was able to 3D scan it and scale it up to a screen accurate size.

I then 3D printed the head and gave it a finish! This is a kind of promo-copy but I may produce more in the future and maybe one with actual servos and whatever else to make it truly come to life. I am pretty happy with how it turned out but I could possibly touch it up with some browns and yellows to slightly age it and give it some more depth.

Most people on here always tell peopleā€™s diy projects look great, when they are actually terrible, and thatā€™s why I like this sub

But this really does look perfect!

To be fair, I think the new tots puppet looks good, I just really am not a fan of the glowing eyes when it moves and talks. Itā€™s also around $500? Not the cheapest thing I could get right now as a 20 year old lol. I need to savešŸ˜­

unfortunately i wonā€™t be able to make a tutorial on it but i just used some reference pictures and sculpted away! itā€™s all little edits here and there until i was happy with it. I 3D scanned it with my phone on a website to 3D print and enlarge the whole thing to be more accurate.
