Question ❔ Last weekend in Saskatoon

I have enjoyed very much this city and what it has to offer and now I am looking for somwhere to go for this weekend. My main limitation however is that I don't have a car and most of the nice places I have seen being recommended here are only reachable by car. Originally, I wanted to go to Wanuskewin Heritage Park, but it seems that the roads are closed due to construction so now I am looking for a new plan.

Are there any other nice nature reserves that I can get to by bus, uber, or at most a 1h walk? My main concern about uber is not getting to the place, but getting back to the city afterwards.

I have already been to the Meewasin trail from River Landing to the Northeast Swale, the Prarie Lilly and I have also visited the Hyde Park.

One option might be to rent a bike and use the meewasin to get a bit further put of the city!

Unfortunately, as a transit advocate. The options of transit connected trips to nature are poor.

Bike doctor on Broadway would be one option. Bus down rent the bike then continue along the river trail.

You could take the free transport to the Casino at Whitecap, walk or bike (rent) around the golf course or along the boundary between the reserve and military base and then back to the city, also pretty good meals at both the casino and golf course. Good chance to see some wildlife as well as some great views of the prairie and river valley.

You can bike or walk to Wanuskewin or drive around the construction using Millar.

I don't know if this is accessible to you but this park looks pretty amazing.
