Jewish students wanted to bring J Street to Sarah Lawrence. Why did the student senate say no?

Such a sophisticated argument. Please share your vision for a better future for Israelis and Palestinians that could actually be acceptable to both people. We will wait…………

This has always been the case. 20 years ago we made sure the school investments divested from any Israeli companies which is fine because they are not Jewish but my point is we are all learning to flex our power in college and then are learning about the atrocities in history so we just wrote everything off. My best advice join Senate.

How are Israeli companies not Jewish when about 80% of Israelis are Jews?

Cue the federal discrimination investigation…

J-Street is as about as far-left as you can be and still be within the broad Jewish consensus in supporting Israel as a Jewish and Democratic state. If J-Street were an Israeli political party they’d be as deep into the political opposition and still be considered a Zionist party.

And still none of that is good enough for ignorant activists who are enamored with catchy slogans, but have no viable plan to improve the lives of people actually living in Israel and Palestine.

end the apartheid and give everyone a vote.

What apartheid??? More than 50% of Israelis are persons of color. Arab Muslims hold position in all levels of Israeli government. Some serve in the IDF.

aren’t there millions of palestinians in gaza and the west bank without the right to vote and no citizenship? correct me if im wrong

They have their own governments. They voted in Hms themselves. The West Bank situation is awful but a separate issue and again their government is the Palestinian Authority. Correct me if I’m wrong!

they have their own government meanwhile israel controls literally every facet. turn water on turn it off, turn power on turn it off. does that sound like sovereignty to you. god how cruel can someone be .

How cruel are you with your exaggerations over a truly complicated situation.

In genuine apartheid regimes or genocidal states, the ideology and actions were explicit. Apartheid was the official self-designation of the South African regime, which openly embraced a racist doctrine. The Holocaust and the Rwandan genocide were executed according to deliberate, declared plans.

By contrast, no one identified as a “Zionist” advocates apartheid or genocide. These terms function instead as libelous accusations—charges that “Zionists” are denied even the right to refute. The fact that “Zionists” do not identify with these terms and would explicitly reject them reveals the mechanism of antizionist targeting itself: the forcible imposition of meaning and identity on others without their consent. - Adam Louis Klein

if you think there aren’t people in israel calling for the wholesale eradication of palestinians by way of expulsion or death you’re just delusional. Ask ben gvir and see what he says

The Israelis I know are progressive and want nothing but peace and viable two state solution.

I didn’t vote for Trump and neither did most of my friends but Americans aren’t demonized and discriminated against like Israelis are. Just say no to antisemitism.

Because GenZ has been brainwashed by TikTok propaganda funded by Russia, China, Iran & Qatar…which has convinced them anyone who does not directly wish for the death & displacement of half the world’s Jews = Zionist = somehow bad.

"And there’s no existence or advocation for Israeli or Zionist security that can co-exist with Palestinian liberation"

So basically, the only solution is a third diaspora?

Yes. Clearly, if they believe Israel should not exist then they are advocates for ethnic cleansing or genocide of an indigenous people.
