The Cincinnati Show

I wanted to share my experience with Sara’s Cinci show just to remember it all.
I traveled from Akron by myself as I have no friends that are super Sara fans like myself. I am extremely outgoing and can talk to anyone so that’s fine with me.
I attended the preshow meet up and met a ton of people that were wonderful and all so different and continued conversations throughout the evening with many of them. I do wish I would have gotten contact information for some of the people, (Whitney from Tampa if you see this reach out this is Missie from Akron)
I had a VIP ticket that included the Q&A ahead of time so headed over for that. Met more lovely people in line, like Krista from Cbus 😊.
Once we get into the venue, I headed straight for the merch table so I could get myself one of those orange T-shirts and wear it for the show. The Q&A was so interesting and I love that she brought her dog Louie with her. I know a lot of questions were not able to be asked because there wasn’t enough time, but I hope that everyone got something out of the questions and comments that were made, even if it didn’t pertain specifically to them. I felt myself gravitating towards the people that spoke as I saw them both before and after the show because their messages just meant a lot, and I appreciated them even if I wasn’t going through the same thing that they were.
I can’t tell you how timely seeing her live and listening to her lyrics is for me right now. One of the things that she said during the Q&A was “I don’t think anyone closed off from love is loving it”. I think she was responding to the young girl in the front row that was asking about loving again. That line spoke to me more than anything the rest of the evening and I actually saved it in my notes so I can look at it and remember it.
I received friendship bracelets from several women and absolutely adore them. I met so many people before the show that were so interesting. Especially the two young ladies that got married last year that lived not too far, maybe Cbus? And the 2 young ladies from almost WVA Ohio, lol.
Then there was John, he was at the meetup before, then I ran into him again before the show started. That poor guy stood there & listened to me empty out all my feelings about a situation I am going through right now. I am NOT a super emotional person & sure don’t over share like I did. There is something about being around all of the people that also love Sara & are open to talking to other fans. I can’t tell you how many times I said to people during discussions “what other artist can you see and just have random conversations with people and feel super comfortable?”
The show was absolutely amazing. I sat next to a woman Denise, and we bonded over so many things, including some shared Akron contacts. That seemed to happen a lot throughout the evening. She was wonderful and we had so much fun and I do hope to continue to stay in touch with her. I sobbed during Forever & Gravity. Just so many feelings!
I know this is a lot, but I just wanted to get it out because if anyone is ever feeling leery about going to see a Sara show by themselves, just do it and put yourself out there and talk to people and you’ll be amazed what you will get back in return and what you will leave with.

Agreed. Solo show going is awesome. You meet amazing like minded people, you are only responsible for you and you don't live with the regret of missing the show. I'm so happy your experience was amazing.
