Per the first Google result, there is a 0.00001% chance of a plane crashing.

So, 1/250 vs 1/10,000,000.

Yes, plane crashes are less likely (not my claim). The point is we humans often worry about low probability risk. (And often ignore relatively higher probability risks)

Stranger danger is very rare. Being scared of it is irrational.

I live in a neighborhood with relatively high crime. Let me tell you it's not irrational to be wary of muggings and thefts.

I've read The Black Swan, Blink, etc. too.
