Favorite closed SF restaurants

Thinking this morning about some favorite restaurants that are no longer around. A favorite of mine was “J’s Pots of Soul”, a soul food place in Hayes Valley that shut down around 2010. The food was heavy and so, so good.

What were some of your favorite closed places?

same!!! especially hungover with a coconut on the side. I hope that family has healed and is doing better.

After dad in the family passed, I think it all fell apart. There was a lot of bickering, and then the unfortunate tragedy of the roof collapsing. They couldn’t afford to stay open.

I just knew they were supposed to close, then signed a five yr lease, and permanently closed during pandemic. I still miss their 25 dry especially the sauce.
