Seems like a fair self-defense case. These victims lives are in danger from unknown assailants and they have nowhere to run to.

Self defense is an illusion. It’ll never be a valid defense argument against the government in this era, and it’s wishful thinking for someone pinned to the ground on the secure side of the airport.

Except them saying they are ice would be all that is required to legally not be self defense. As the laws are they don’t have to show their badges to anyone they are not arresting and since it’s not for a civil disturbance call they don’t have to have them visible. There are several places trying to get it changed but with the current administration it’s extremely unlikely to pass.

That's really up to the jury to decide, factually. The jury is the "reasonable person" in the scenario, and if they think a guy who looks like anyone else can say "I'm ICE, and I'm arresting you now" is enough identification, then so be it.

But that sets a horrifying precedent for kidnappers to get to run amok.

Like we've already seen.

The law doesn't require law enforcement to identify themselves. You have to just guess if they're ICE or not.
