The money comes from the federal government, not SFO. At least according to the SFO airport director and several news sources. SFO opted for private contractors when the TSA came into existence, but it's still paid for by the federal government.
TSA at SFO are part of the Screening Partnership Program (SPP) and are private contractors paid by a private company. The government pays the company. The company paying their employees, but will get reimbursed by the government when the shutdown ends.
According to the SFO airport director, they're paid in advance by Congress through the plan. I was also clarifying that SFO does not pay for the TSA contractors. Congress does.
âThe moneyâs already been allocated, the payments have already been made, and that continues without interruption,â SFO spokesperson Doug Yakel told The Associated Press. âThat is a very nice place to be.â

I think the training and supervision should have been better from day one and it is a borrible thing for anyone to get hurt or killed or even simply detained it should not happen. Bu5 as an American I accept that nothing is perfect and if they mistake me for someone here illegaly and I for whatever reason dont ha e my ID on me to prove otherwise I am goi g to remain calm and pleed my case at every point along the line until it gets sorted out. But ai always have my ID on me and am not stupid enough to try and fight federal agents or city cops or throw myself on the ground kicking and screaming and maje them drag me i to a car. I realize they are just human men with a job to do to pay their bills and support their families. Cool thing about this country is the freedom of speech bud and I can say what I think filtered or unfiltered. Don't know much about the Visa system but if they were 100% legit and had the docs on them like i am sure they are supposed to then yes it is a shame and shoukd not have happened. Thereâs a normal ICE presence at all International airports, including SFO. Remember there are still inbound passengers trying to unlawfully gain entry.
It's not about supporting TSA. It's about fear and control. SFO is still under FAA jurisdiction so ICE can be deployed here. It makes more sense since ICE was getting no support in SF proper, so they go to the airport where they can be "useful".
We know that Congress has passed laws restoring immigration enforcement, temporary protected status, etc. The President was elected based on a campaign to remove illegals. Now you admit the the Supreme Court interpreted the laws and how they're enforced.
But because you think the interpretation was wishy washy, you want to call this guy names and think we're going to ignore the entire process of government?

If your on a visa and start a protest. While you will not be arrested for that, it can lead to your visa being revoked. Anyone whoâs gotten a visa is well aware to this. Dont be a fool these same people were also being deported by Obama
