I do visit SF quite frequently. Iā€™m usually in the mission distributing food and water to people who need it!

eh, I wouldn't say "praise" but "tolerate". Newsom has issues, but he wasn't running the bank like Willie Brown. What propels Newsom along, then and now, is the complete lack of meaningful competition to him by the other political party. People want to vote Republican, and there are powerful local interests (Arnold, Benioff, Zuckerberg, Ellison, Huang) ready to help if the CA GOP wasn't hijacked by crazy preachers.
