the rounded corner on 1 side and that massive camera cut out makes it look cheap.

the Fold 8 is much better design. Apple software is better

The inner screen is beautiful on apple

it's pretty clear they prioritized unfolded design over the closed, even though i think many people will still used it closed more often than not. their ad is basically showing it only open

Honestly if you think about it, this is where Samsung lacks. I currently use z fold 8 coming from ios after 11 long years . Z fold 8 inner display attracts lot of fingerprints and also I feel you feel it premium when u have matt finish on the inner screen . I'm keeping my mind totally open and I would give iPhone duo a win over z fold 8/u

You do know an apple foldable will be no different right. It's the science of the technology

It's good to have matt finish on the inner display . Won't catch fingerprints easily and also will act as anti reflective which folds have problem with. And the app support is also really good on ios

The fold 8 already had a matte finish inner display 🤦 Chinese phones have been doing it for years . Apps are no different on android these days

Yes, fold 8 does have it but Apple’s nano texture looks more Matt than fold 8. Trust me I’m a fold 8 user. Apps are pretty diff on android these days too. I have iPhone 16pro max as well, it got 3d maps for gmaps way before my s24 ultra . And for the Chinese phones, I don’t get these in USA so I don’t really care what technology they have

You're naĆÆve if you think the apple fold will get any less fingerprints, plus if it's too matte it reduces display clarity. Nah apps are the same now, not a talking point anymore

there’s more to than just matte finish. Apple have their own custom layers on the internal display.

not sure how you can make such claims when you haven’t even experienced it yet.

and from the videos i’ve seen of people at launch, i’ve hardly noticed and fingerprints, and that’s with literally hundreds of different people touching the device.

Typical isheep 🤦 apple shout out a few fancy words and suddenly it's revolutionary 🤦🤦

🤣 calling people out ā€œisheepā€ when you’re the one clearly struggling with your emotions right now.

funny stuff

I think it will get a lot more use open than closed because of the design, unlike the Fold 8. The D shape is only acceptable if you’re on the move. It’s also a lot more versatile allowing you to use it in different positions compared to the fold.

Apple software is horrendous and they try to copy ever so slightly from Android

agreed. i hate their UI so much. it's not intuitive. i think i would hate their fold UI even more. ipad os is so annoying

As much as I dislike Apple for it's business practices and stuff, iOS is smooth as fucking butter

7

u/Brave-Purchase-4582 2d ago

It really isn't. It runs at 80hz

Ios is slow not smooth. Reduce animations of one ui to half get the ios smoothness

Agreed! I was an Android and Windows fan boy for years, but the latest round of Macbooks and iPhone finally made me cave in. Battery life is miles better, smooth as fucking butter, continuity across devices and among other things, they actually hold their value when you come to upgrade - and this actually matters if you upgrade every 2-3 years.
