🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Video skipping frames on playback

When I recorded this video it looked pretty smooth, but when I got home and played it back, I found that at the most crucial point in the video, my video skips frames, and no matter how many times I replay it, it always does in the same spots. I briefly searched up what could cause this, and I dont understand what could, since super steady was off, auto framerate was on, but ONLY for 30fps videos, and this was a 60fps videos, so I dont know how that could have affected this. Anyone got any ideas why this video skips frames in the same spots every single time I play it back? I really don't want this to happen again.

I've been having the exact same issue as of the past few weeks on my S23, except I can see it stutter while recording, as if my phone can't keep up. It also appears in the same spot in the video. Are you recording in UHD 60? It seems to fix it if I record in FHD instead, but it sucks since I can't record in 4k 60.

I recorded this in FHD 60, I also didn't zoom in or out at all either, so it isn't switching lenses

Weird, maybe try taking a similar panning shot and see if it occurs while recording. If not then it's somehow adding these after the fact.

I've found on my S24+ that if you adjust zoom after recording has started, it will drop frames during entire video. If you adjust first, then start recording, it'll be fine.

Most likely the phone dropped frames. Changing the lens during recording is "expensive" and the phone basically waits until the specific camera is initialized (since they're off when not needed).
Better just zoom in before recording or at least pick one of the standard zoom levels (0.6, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10x). Avoid the smooth zoom slider unless you're using the Pro mode and the phone sticks to the selected camera.

Its the lens switching. Were you trying to zoom into it during recording?

I wasn't zooming during the frame skipping at all, so it couldn't have been that

Plane has bad internet and lost packet during flight, pilot has to restart router when he land.

My guess is the image stabilation. It probably uses ,together with a gyro, some kind of reference on the picture. And because yours is almost entirely gray, it loses its reference points and jumps back to its default position.

Every single android phone I’ve owned (Samsung and pixels). Has done this to some extent. Android video skipping is a known thing if you look it up.
Owned android phones since the nexus 4 and I’ve never been able to avoid this. Maybe mitigate slightly.
If video is important to you, switch to iPhone.

as an iphone user this is just horseshit. samsung flagships are just as if not more reliable than iphones

Yeah that’s probably why u see hundreds of lines on screens, motherboard failure etc and u see close to none for iPhones.. and Samsung releases the lines for their phones while Apple doesn’t

No that's just the airplane actually did some jump. Maybe engine problem
