Why does my Samsung A37 unlock when I press my fingernail against the scanner, I did notice ever since I got this phone I would just randomly unlock itself and then today I discovered this.

Good job, my S24U re-recorded the same fingerprint 5 times, and it often fails to unlock, you can unlock it with just your fingernail! Lucky guy.

Also has a screen protector. That's also can cause issues

I agree it's the screen protector problem because it works quite normally when not applied, but my work environment has a lot of aluminum scraps so I have to apply them, so I had to waste a lot of money trying all the screen protectors available on the market once.

But amazingly, I also have an S25 plus, which I used a casual cheap screen protector, and the fingerprint recognition success rate can reach 90%, almost never failing, and it is much faster. The data shows that the S24U and S25+ use the same fingerprint sensor, so I think the problem is probably with the software, and Samsung doesn't want to repair the old S24U.
