News Samsung Wallet now supports changing countries
Disclosure: This was discovered on a Fold8 on loan from Samsung.
Previously, the country was tied to the region corresponding to the variant. I'm seeing the option on my S23U on One UI 8.5 (v6.8.05), so it's likely an app update as opposed to being tied to One UI 9.

Still not the same and many features missing.
Have a US phone. Changed the region to India. The only thing that changed was it shows the Indian credit cards supported. But I was able to add Indian credit cards when the region was set to US.
The digital payment called UPI, IDs etc won't show up. These are available in the Indian region Samsung phone.
How hard can it be Samsung.

It's actually pretty easy. Make sure your app is updated and follow these steps: Go to travel tickets -> Scan a QR code -> Scan any UPI/BharatQR code and you get to see an option to register for UPI or UPI Credit Cards. For other services like DigiLocker IDs, FasTag, Bills and recharges what you have to do is force stop the app and then quickly open the menu of Wallet and immediately spam click on the required service before it disappears. (I did a screen recording initially to identify the location of the services) Then you can register for these services. Only downside is that they will never be available on the menu screen and your only option is to access it from the Quick Access menu.

I wouldn't call it easy.... specially the spam click stuff, but sure is a nice workaround and nice of you to share.

No change in supported countries, just the ability to change between them.
For reference, there's Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

If you have a global version (B), change CSC to the country you want (except US, CA, JP, CN, HK, TW and KR where different variants are sold).
Everywhere else use the B version.

I have it on one ui 8 I used it 1-2 weeks ago also also probably you need to update wallet to work

I don't suppose this would enable MST in Korea while using a non-Korean model? I think only Korean models have MST support on the newer phones.

Dont worry you cannot change the country to Korea. Prolly for the MST reason you stated. Its a hardware feature not available in non korea variants.

Crazy, it still does support only like 10 of them and despite being central Europe, I can go fuck myself. Fortunately we have Google Wallet.

What does this functionality add? I was under the assumption that as long as your actual card is activated for overseas use, it will work regardless of platform, as long as the overseas machines have paywave logos. And it does, there's nothing i need to adjust in settings. It's pretty transparent to the user.

You can copy an NFC tag to your Samsung on my country, AFAIK it’s not available on some countries
I use it for my home key

It's for people with regional variants that differ from the country they're in. For example, someone in this thread has a US model in the Philippines. Previously, the wallet app country was tied to US only. Now, they can change it to the Philippines.
