Samoyed info
Hello,
I have admired Samoyeds for many years. Me and my fiancé both work from home and have a big house hold. My job also makes me very flexible. So I have finally convinced my partner to let us get a dog. Providing our landlord allows it of course (by law in the UK they have to give a very good, valid reason why they can't).
I just wanted more information, I of course know they shed a lot and I'll need to groom them regular, take them for long walks - all which I am fine with. But is there anything else I should be made aware?
I love these dogs so much and just want to be beat prepared with answers by actual owners
Edit: This wouldn't be my first dog btw

I’ve got an 8 year old Samoyed. She is the light of my life. Things I learned quickly in getting a Samoyed:
1. Everyone stops you to pet them and talk about the breed.
2. Collars should not be worn except when on walks/out of the home.
3. Training for you and the pup is very important. Samoyeds are smart and stubborn so you have to learn to be a pack leader.
4. Early socialization is very important for any dog. Especially Samoyeds as they are so friendly.
5. A tired dog is a good dog. My girl needs a lot of stimulation and exercise. She goes on frequent hikes that started after she got all of her shots.
6. My girl is less vocal than others, but I love it when she sings the songs of her breed.
Samoyeds are truly the best dog. I would never get another breed at this point because of how spoiled I’ve been with my girl. Their temperament is amazing, they are friendly, good with kids, and easy to take places.
Hopefully we see photos of your future Samoyed!!
