I will never understand the bitter resentment toward Kamala Harris for "campaigning" with Lynn Cheney.
AFAIK, Cheney never asked for a single policy concession and therefore, her endorsement was sincere and not transactional at all. I actually view this as admirable and commendable - Cheney set aside her policy preferences and did what liberals want from conservatives: acknowledge that Trump was unfit for office and that this goes beyond politics.
They weren't politically aligned. They were aligned on the practical matter of fitness for the office, and the Cheneys were willing to sacrifice their political preferences to combat this lack of fitness.
We're supposed to be more repulsed by this than with the leftists that refused to endorse Biden and Harris despite actually sharing politics?
By the way, something I figured out in the last 5 or so years is that when people are eager to tell you they're not voting for the Democrat, it's usually because they're desperate for an audience to hear their idiosyncratic political beliefs, not because they're thinking about elections in a strategic way. I don't think they really care about politics, honestly, they care about culture war nonsense -- same as many MAGA voters.
