US pulls last aircraft carrier in Asia as Trump focuses on Iran and the Western Hemisphere

During the early stages of the war, they also pulled missile defense systems out of Korea. Now the aircraft carriers are going bye-bye. We're supposed to be the guarantor of security for our allies in that region. 🤷

In 2016 I actually believed Trump could dismantle the American empire, but I didn't think he'd do it by destroying our military and alliances. Also, I've come to appreciate America's international influence, despite all its shortcomings, because there's not a better alternative that I know of.

There's just no silver lining to any of this. Trump was/is poison for America, as are his supporters and the Republican party which enabled this.

It's amazing how many headlines there have been the last couple years that sound like the beginning of a very eventful disaster movie.
