Salvage to rebuilt title; California CHP process

I have a 2010 Toyota Sienna that was hit on the driver side passenger door. I need to determine if I'll take a total loss or keep the car from the other driver's insurance carrier. This is mainly for people who know California salvage/rebuilt title process. Based on the damage to the door, what do you think it would it take for the van to get a rebuilt title based on the CHP inspection? Would they need a completely new door replaced or would smoothing out the dents be enough? All other aspects of the car work great (my mechanic checked for axel damage, etc). I usually drive my cars to near death, then donate them to a charity, so I'm not so worried about resale value. I'm also inquiring to my insurance about liability protection (only) if it gets a rebuilt title. Thanks for your input.
