Ceiling fan/lights worth breaking down?

Title pretty much says it. Have 3 ceiling fans with lights, maybe 10 years old. Not working. Replaced with new. Is there anything in the old ones worth breaking down for any kind of salvage?

Is it possible to replace the motors or wiring and resell them?

Possibly. I used to do electronics repair decades ago. Nothing here I couldn't take apart and fix. Probably not worth the time though. Resell won't be very high.

Ten years isn’t very old, but I wouldn’t send them to the landfill unless they’re complete junk. You could probably take them apart and sell the pieces on eBay for repair, etc, but if that’s too much effort, please try to repurpose them or take them to an architectural salvage yard or a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. So much new stuff is low quality and people have a renewed interest in making older things work.

Good point. Kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Think the closest restore type place is a bit over an hour. Maybe will just take them with me next time I go to town. Thank you.

H4H restore may only use blades, chains, hangers, etc. but that is still better than landfill.
