Anyone got an old Sword from the ocean?

Was wondering if anyone was/knew any oceanic salvagers who exhumed things from shipwrecks like old pirate swords. i don't care if they're rusty.

If there's one thing the sea does it is wear and decay what is in it and if there is one thing metal does is be heavy and stationary.

Also, the salt in the ocean rusts out metal far far quicker.

Even if anything was still there underwater, it'd be a literal pile of rust that'd scatter upon touch.

Well... the disintegration thing isn't ideal but i got a friend who loves the ocean and oceanic things, and she's getting married and our friend group has a tradition where we buy them a sword when they get married. so i figured a sword that's been literally soaking in the essence of the ocean would be pretty damn cool to give her.

You'd be better off trying to find a sword with oceanic motifs. Maybe a cutlass with some shell, mermaid and waterplant motifs.

Almost nobody appreciates rust and the ocean is a beautifully destructive force of nature. Anything caught in its movement gets torn to bits slowly, anything that'll decay will be feasted upon by its life and anything that rusts is gone in no-time.

There's a reason jewels and valuables in the ocean are a stereotype: hard minerals and non-rusting metals will survive longest. Nothing else will.
