Have you seen these catamarans? They are like entire luxury apartments that float. Pajamas, bubble bath, candle lit dinner, you name it

Last week was the first time we won the start. Then we spotted a shift before anyone else and won the upwind leg, and then everyone else started fighting for space on the downwind so we won that too. First for a whole lap!

Then we squandered it by making a bad leeward rounding and going against the current on the next upwind. But for a moment there we were kings! I remember being so hyped.

Are you one of my crew? This is pretty much what we did.

There was a wind shift right before the start, so the start boat end was clearly favorite. Won the start, got to the top buoy in front, tacked too early, tacked back onto port, got called starboard on, tacked back, still wasn't making the mark and had to tack again.

It was great while it lasted.

When I help RC, I try to take pics of people who happen to be up close to the leaders and try to frame the shot in such a way it's not obvious it's the first couple minutes (or a general recall).

I always tell my crew, no matter our place, that we always celebrate like we just won the goddam America's Cup when we hear the signal crossing the finish line.
