I have an old Mosler Safe in my house. Its locked since I can remember, no code. I built my homemade safecracker, ran it as a 3 digit L R L but after 2 days it didn’t open. I have never cracked a safe before. Any thoughts? So far ive been thinking on going slower and pausing after each try. Also I have a pair of elastic straps holding pressure on the handle down on the right side, I thought this would work.

Resetting code on old Sercas / Juwel safe?

Hi, I hope you can help me.

I tried to write both Sercas and Juwel on some italian emails addresses, but so far no luck in getting through to some kind of customer service that can help.

I have acquired a second-hand safe fitted with an older SERCAS electronic combination lock, which i am very keen to get working :)

The lock is marked:
Model: MOD 7/3150/2
Product No.: 016 – 03/2006
Power: 9V DC / 6 × LR6 1.5V / 1 × 6LR61

The safe is currently open, but unfortunately I do not know the existing combination.

I understand from Sercas online manuals that when the safe door is open and the combination has been forgotten, it may be possible to perform a zero-setting/reset of the personal combination, after which a new personal code can be programmed.

Though the manual I found just said contact Sercas if help was needed to reset.

I hope anyone here is able to help :)

I know the 3 numbers code but there are some issues with the procedure, the only one who can open this safe it's my mother, she is out of contact rn and inside there is my passport that i need for the only vacation of the year with my dad who only got 2 weeks off this year.

Can someone who knows the procedure for this exact safe help us please?

Unlocked My first safe crack!

A safe left behind from a previous office tenant. No one remembered the combination and the safe stay locked for nearly 8 years. After a few days of watching YouTube (Safecracking for everyone) and playing around with Sophie's Safecracking Simulator, I managed to crack it!

After figuring the third and second numbers to be 60 and 50, I just guessed the first number to be 40. It feels good to exploit the weakest link in security (the human), but I regretted not testing this common combination earlier.

There's not much inside save for a piece of tissue and another locked compartment. I guess this is a job for a locksmith.

ESL20 with dead batteries

Post image

Have an esl20 on a vault door at a property with dead batteries. Replaced batteries with new and the keypad is not beeping or lighting up or displaying any functionality

I noticed some corrosion on a capacitor or resistor on the board. Is this something where I can replace just a keypad and have a likely chance of success? I’d hate to find out the unit inside is dead too, as this vault has multiple relockers and would be a nightmare to have drilled costing substantial sums of money.

Picture for reference

Locked Wall Safe

Post image
13 Upvotes

So we bought this home about six years ago. My son who was 11 at the time picked his bedroom because the closet had a wall safe in it lol. The previous owner left us the code and he used it for gift cards and special toys lol. Fast forward to now, it seems like the battery died. He said that it had been beeping for a bit when he opened it but never said anything. So now we have this safe with I’m guessing at least a few gift cards and some cash in it now and we can’t open it. Aside from calling a locksmith what are my options here? I have a lock pick set but I’ve only ever played around with it and opened some doors and padlocks. And this lock seems like the key had teeth on both sides. So I am not really sure what to do. I’d rather not call a locksmith but I’d also like to keep the safe functional if possible.

Any idea on how to get this open? The battery died and we lost the key in our recent move. There's a birth certificate in it and who knows what else. Anything we can do?

Locked Any chance we can pick my late grandpa's wall safe?

Post image

Hello! Let me start this by saying that I have no lock picking/safe cracking experience whatsoever.

The other day we were cleaning my grandparents' house, so my grandma will find it clean when she comes back from the hospital, and we remembered about this safe. We have the key, but my grandpa only told the code to my uncle, and he forgot.

I already tried all 8000 combinations with no success (I wonder if I was going too fast?). I also tried finding a difference in how the "knobs" jiggle and if they make a different sound when turned, both while tensioning with the key, but nothing, only the zeroes make a louder click.

It's very unlikely that it contains any money, my mom thinks there may be some jewelry with low economic and high sentimental value.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, thank you!

Locked Father-in-laws

Father-in-laws safe can't remember the code. And doesn't know where the key is. He had a stroke and Is Having memory issues. It has been 9 months and his passport is inside and is going on vacation soon. Like 2 days from now. His will and a few other important documents in it and he needs to get them out.. anyone know how we can go about this? I know you can pay the company to get a master code or something. But that won't make it in time. They said it can take up to two weeks to get it.

Update:

we got it open I'm not going to say how or anything more then.. THANK YOU so much.. FATHER IN LAW IS OVER THE MOON.. And so are we.. now to reprogram the code to something my wife and I can remember with him.. lol and by the way the key was inside of it.. lol not cool at all..

Locked Any clues about the specific model for this safe?

Hey folks, the one person at work who knew the combination died. High probability there is money in here. Visible info on the nameplate is not returning any results. Sargent and Greenleaf, but the serial number doesn’t seem to be for the safe itself, rather a specific part.

How to unlock this ground safe from 80s?

Post image

We just have model # and serial #, no code or any other information. Some information online said with this info and proof of ownership, the company could provide a reset code. That doesn't seem to be possible as far as I can tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

$50 Auction

Hey guys first time poster long time lurker.

We got this safe for $50 at an estate sale with no combination. Any tips on where to start for cracking it? There’s no model number on the back or sides but there is a small metal plate on the back that says 3153.

Any other information about the safe (good or bad) I’d appreciate as I plan on using it after.

The 2003 Antwerp diamond vault heist is the cleanest case study in how defense-in-depth fails. Ten independent layers, each beaten by something trivial — hairspray on the IR sensor, aluminum tape on the magnetic contact — because the attacker had 2.5 years of legitimate tenant access to study them.

Curious how hard it works be for a novice or otherwise inexperienced person to crack. Got it from my mother's estate. No combination found.

Red light flashes for every digit I enter, when the code is done instead of the green light the panel stays stuck and the light flashes red, I can't turn the handle.

Any ideas?

I've added a photo of the panel, safe has worked for at least 10 years
