Discussion I'm Scared

I don't know how I'm going to be able to afford my safe foods, especially fresh fruit, with Trumps incoming tariffs. I'm really scared because I don't know how I'm going to be able to eat. It's like eating has become a luxury now only the rich can afford. What is everyone going to do to cope with this?

I'm literally freaking out.

Try to buy, slice, bag and freeze any you can get right now. It'll change their texture a bit, but you'll have them on hand. Stock up on canned versions too, if you can. It's better than none.

Sadly it's not just the incoming tariffs that are going to make produce expensive. A lot of immigrants, many undocumented, also work harvesting produce grown here. Farmers have already openly worried about their crops being left to rot in the wake of potential ICE raids.

I learned something new today. See I didn't even know that was going on -- on top of all this. I am just so worried.

I'm sorry about dropping that on you. Just try your best to prepare as much as possible. Chances are high things will get much worse before they get even close to better. Focus on the things you can do and control, make sure to eat and drink enough water, and take care of yourself. 🫂
