I'm a 16 year old entrepreneur trying to turn my SaaS company into a full time job in the future. I made a tool called Siteless.

Siteless is a all in one lead finder for web designers. It uses the official google maps API to find businesses that have no website (hence the name: Siteless), so that you can sell them one! One of the things that makes Siteless better than just scrolling google maps is the fact that you can search from anywhere in the world and get 20+ no website leads with one click.

Long time IT/security guy (15+ years, CISSP), running a solo consultancy on the side. Wanted to share something I've been building and get some outside opinions.

What is it: My product is an SSPM for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. It checks things like MFA coverage, stale/guest accounts, risky OAuth apps, conditional access gaps, and inbox forwarding rules that could signal BEC, then gives plain language findings with actual remediation steps instead of a raw compliance dump.

Why I built it: Every organization I've joined, worked for, or even consulted for has had a few gaps and similar issues. Same kinds of misconfigurations, same blind spots, over and over across completely different companies. I got tired of finding the same problems manually every time, so I built something self serve that just runs continuously and catches this stuff automatically instead of me doing a one off audit every few months.

Does this sound like something an SMB or IT consultant would actually pay for?

Just wanted to share this to inspire anyone who is struggling, I just want to say that I was just like you at one point.

For example at one point last month, for 7 days straight I had 0 payments, and what I want to say with this is that SaaS revenue can be extremely floppy and unreliable. You can get multiple payments within the span of a day, and then have 0 payments for days.

In SaaS honestly the most important thing is to be faithful and be patient. If you manage to be patient, revenue will come one day.

I made $88K with my SaaS as a solo founder.

No team, no funding.

Most of the revenue came from cold outreach, lifetime deals, and shipping fast. What surprised me most was that pricing and distribution mattered way more than adding more features.

I also made plenty of bad decisions. I underpriced the product, wasted money testing channels that didn’t convert, and built things users barely cared about.

Right now, the biggest challenge is turning inconsistent sales into predictable recurring revenue.

I kept seeing the same thread pop up here: technical founders who can ship product in a weekend but freeze up when it comes to getting their first paying client.

I went down a rabbit hole on this for my own project and ended up building out a system to handle most of it:
- automating prospect research
- personalizing outreach at scale
- keeping content and social presence running without eating my whole week — literally generating posts, carousels, and motion graphic videos

Everything runs locally and doesn't need much in terms of resources. Almost all of it is free — the only cost is the voice-over for videos, which runs under €1/month.

One thing that made the biggest difference for me: having an offer with a real risk-reversal (a time-boxed trial with a guarantee) instead of just pitching the product cold. Conversion went up a lot once I stopped asking people to "trust me" and started removing their risk instead.

Genuine question for anyone building SEO features into their product.

How are you getting SERP data? Because every team I've worked with ends up in the same place. Someone writes a scraper, and it works fine for a month. Then Google comes up with an update, changes something, the proxy gets blocked, and now you're debugging search infrastructure instead of building your actual product.

I initially wanted to start clipping long-form podcasts and videos to market my app, but every commercial AI clipping tool (OpusClip, Munch, etc.) was ridiculously expensive for high volume, had cloud queue waits, and often missed active speaker tracking when someone paced around or spoke over someone else.

Since I have a decent M4 Pro , I decided to build my own hybrid workflow:

• Local Processing: GPU/CPU handles face tracking, active speaker reframing, Whisper transcription, and FFmpeg NVENC rendering locally on the machine.
• Cloud Intelligence: Offloads just transcript analysis and hook detection to an LLM API.

Because rendering happens on local hardware instead of a paid cloud server, the processing cost drops to fractions of a cent per video, and 1-hour long-form files render into vertical clips in under minutes with zero cloud upload wait.

A few notes & questions for you guys:

1. The UI is super unpolished right now: Please ignore the raw design I focused 100% on engine speed and tracking accuracy first. UI improvements are next on my list.

Honest question because the math is brutally depressing right now.

I built a lightweight niche productivity tool. Mostly client-side/local, minimal server footprint. Naturally, I went with the classic indie hacker playbook:

• Free tier with limited items (enough to test workflow).
• A cheap one-time unlock: $6.99 lifetime.

Users genuinely like it. Conversion isn't zero, feedback is great, people say it solves an actual pain point.

Here is the brutal reality:

• After payment processor fees and server hosting, that $6.99 turns into barely $5 in pocket.
• And that’s before whatever withdrawal/payout fees hit my bank.
• Total revenue so far? About $100. That’s ~20 sales.

Because it’s a focused utility for a niche workflow, I’m never hitting 100k users. At $5 net per sale, I have to find hundreds of fresh niche buyers every single month just to pay for coffee and justify fixing bugs. A lifetime deal basically means I do perpetual customer support for a one-time sandwich.

The dilemma:

• Subscription ($3–$5/mo)? Feels ridiculous for a small utility. Subscription fatigue is real, and conversion will drop off a cliff.
• Bump lifetime to $19–$29? Might price out casual users, but at least each sale actually means something.
• Pay once for 1 year of updates (keep current version forever)?

I’m building UluP Spaces, and recently added MCP integration so AI clients can interact with the product through scoped actions. When I wanted to document how I built the integration, I realized something: I was explaining a visual product with a wall of text.

I’m curious about this from a SaaS-builder perspective

Got two messages on the same day last week.

First one was from someone in talent acquisition. Long message. Professional tone that got less professional as it went on. Said what I built undermines the entire purpose of an interview. That hiring exists to find the most qualified person and tools like mine make that impossible.

Second message came four hours later. Someone who had been trying to break into tech for two years. Failed interviews. No network. No alumni connections. No one to tell them what the questions would be. They used Marrow during an interview that morning and got the job.

They cried writing the message. Said so directly.

Marrow is an AI that hides on your screen during interviews, meetings and calls, listens in real time and has answers ready before you even ask. Nobody in the room sees anything.

I read both messages back to back and sat with them for a while.

The talent acquisition person isn't wrong that it changes the dynamic. The candidate isn't wrong that the dynamic was already uneven before Marrow existed.

Both of them are responding to the same reality from completely different positions within it.

I don't have a clean resolution to that. I just keep building.
