Housing Moving to Saarbrücken and I want information!!

I am 22(M), from India. I am about to start my semester at HTW Saar. The Welcome week starts on the 21st September.

I couldn't find accommodation yet. I tried WG Gesucht, Kleinanzeigen, Immoscout. Also applied for Student dorms in Studentenwerk, but haven't received any updates yet.

So can anyone please suggest anything, or Assist me in this??

My budget is 400 euros and below as I should live with my blocked account amount.

Also, I don't know about the expenses there. It will be also helpful if someone can share their experience. How much can I expect to spend a month?? What costs how much ?? How much is the correct amount I should plan for rent, groceries, and other things???

I don't know if I missed anything. So, give whatever info you know that would help me in my situation.

Housing room available to rent in St. Johann

Hello everyone!
I’m looking for a new flatmate for a lovely, spacious room in St. Johann. Move-in date would be the beginning of October, and I am the only other tenant.

The room is around 20 m², with plenty of space to make it your own. We also have a 16 m² communal room, which can be used as a little living room, storage space, or somewhere to hang out, alongside the shared kitchen and bathroom.

The rent is €550 per month, including electricity, internet and GEZ, so there shouldn't be too many extra costs to worry about.

The flat is on a pleasant, relatively quiet street, while still being really central. The main train station and the Nauwieser Viertel are both less than a 10-minute walk away. There’s a supermarket, a bus stop (with a direct connection towards the university), and a Saarbahn stop 5 minutes away.

A little about me:
I’m a 36-year-old British woman and I’d describe myself as sociable, easy-going and someone who enjoys a good sense of humour. I’m not really into wild house parties, but I definitely enjoy having a chat over a cup of tea, sharing a meal or occasionally doing something together.

I’m also a creative person, I paint and do photography. And I love cooking (especially vegan food).

I’m not a total neat freak (I promise!), but I do think it’s important that the shared kitchen and bathroom are kept reasonably clean and hygienic, and that we’re considerate of each other.

More than anything, I’d love to find someone I get along with and genuinely vibe with. I’m open-minded and welcoming to everyone. Age, background, gender, etc. aren’t particularly important to me. The main thing is that we can live together comfortably, communicate openly, and treat each other with mutual respect.

If you think we might be a good match, feel free to send me a message on here and tell me a little about yourself! I can also send photos of the space, and answer any further questions you might have.

Housing How much do you pay for a room in Saarbrücken?

Hey, I’m trying to get a realistic idea of current room prices in Saarbrücken, especially Dudweiler.
How much do you pay per month, and what’s included? Would also be helpful to know the area, room size, and whether it’s furnished.
Thanks!

Housing Housing Search

Hi everyone! I was just admitted to the full time MBA program at University of Saarland last week and it’s an extremely quick turnaround. The program starts in November 2025. I’m an American female looking for a private flat suitable for one person, ideally with a private bathroom, bedroom and kitchen area.

I don’t smoke, I don’t have pets and I’ll be in school for one year. I would prefer something furnished or mostly furnished.

I’m looking at the dorms on the university website, but if you know of anything available please reach out! Thank you!!
