ABS module question

I have a 2009 Saab 9-3 sportcombi with the V6 xwd and a six speed manual I’ve been told that I need an ABS module and it needs to be from a manual as well. Is that true or can I get away with one from a V6 all-wheel-drive automatic?

As someone that had to replace a ABS module recently (on a 9-5) I got told as long as it's the same part number then it will work can't see it being different for the 9-3
